Treatment of micropollutants in wastewater: Micropolis-Procédés study

Conducted at the Sophia Antipolis wastewater treatment plant (in France) between 2013 and 2016, the Micropolis study aims to evaluate, in real conditions, the ozonation system’s effectiveness in treating micropollutants in wastewater. The study is composed of two parts: Micropolis-Procédés and Micropolis-Indicateurs.

The Micropolis-Procédés study was conducted by the IRSTEA between 2013 and 2016 in collaboration with SUEZ and with the financial support of the Rhone-Mediterranean and Corsica Water Agency. The results of the study conclude that the ozonation facility is effective in the treatment of emerging substances.
