Plastic Free July is an annual campaign organized every July by the Plastic Free Foundation. This event invites 120 million volunteers all over the world to take the challenge and choose to refuse single-use plastic for a month!
Created in 2011, the Plastic Free July initiative was initially launched at local level in Australia, near Perth. Over the past 8 years, this campaign has grown and now brings together participants (individuals, NGO’s, companies, public organizations, etc.) all over the world with a common ambition: to fight against plastic pollution by reducing the use of single-use plastics.
The Plastic Free July dedicated platform lists the participants and events organized around the world, thus contributing to sharing ideas and best practices to successfully meet the challenge of reducing single-use plastic during one month!
